Delivery capability

CLAIRE GIBBS - ASSOCIATE PARTNER
SOFTWARE DELIVERY
Sectors: RETAIL / INSURANCE / TRAVEL / MEDIA

The client had a growing number of items on their portfolio which were not being engaged with, or fully utilised.

I was asked to do a piece of discovery work that consolidated these items - shaping them into a set of deliverables and wrapping some governance and decision-making around who was responsible for them.

Tangible benefits

The goal was to help improve the capabilities of the IT delivery workforce by mobilising a set of tooling implementations into a programme of work.

By asking the right questions and pulling together all the different components, I was able to create a process of delivery that was repeatable and more efficient.

This resulted in capacity savings such as saving a number of developer days per developer per month - improving the efficiency and throughput of the existing headcount and costs.

Aspirations were turned into something tangible that everyone at every level could articulate - from the director of IT delivery and portfolio manager to the recipients of this tooling who were on the ground - ensuring a framework for success in IT delivery.
